  • Ryan Cahalan, Partner

    Ryan is a co-founding Partner at ARTISAN with more than 20 years experience in virtually every facet of real estate investment.  After starting his career in 2000 with HFF in Los Angeles Ryan joined PPM America as a loan originator and facilitated $500,000,000 in debt production for commercial real estate investments.  Ryan then joined Levin Realty Advisors and helped build a $600,000,000 in multi-family real portfolio on behalf of LRA’s primary capital partner, Walton Street Capital.  After LRA Ryan joined Oak Grove Capital (now JLL) where he arranged debt and equity financing for more than $250,000,000 in multi-family transactions.


    Ryan started acquiring small cap multi-family assets in Chicago in 2009 on behalf of his own account and outside investors.  After studying secondary and tertiary markets in the Midwest for several years he acquired nearly 1,000 apartment units in 2016-2017, which were used to seed ARTISAN in its official formation at the end of 2017


    Ryan holds a BA from the University of Northern Iowa with a focus on Finance/Economics and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin with an emphasis on Real Estate/Entrepreneurship. 

  • Sean Fogarty, Partner

    Sean is a Partner at ARTISAN with over 30 years of commercial/multi-housing real estate experience, including brokerage, acquisitions, dispositions, development joint ventures, pension fund advisory and asset management.  Since 2001 Sean has specialized in the multi-housing sector and joined ARTISAN in 2019 following a 15-year career at HFF where he led the Chicago multi-housing investment sales team and completed $20+ billion of transactions throughout the Midwest.


    Preceding his tenure at HFF, Sean worked for Equity Residential where he executed over $3.5 billion of multi-housing transactions.  Prior to Equity Residential, Mr. Fogarty was employed by Cornerstone Advisers/Oryx Capital and AmerUS Properties. During his time at Cornerstone/Oryx, Sean was responsible for real estate acquisitions and asset management for its client, the AFL-CIO Building Investment Trust.


    Sean graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a BA in Finance and he earned an MBA from Drake University.

  • Marcus Kjeldsen, Partner

    Marcus joined ARTISAN Capital Group (ACG) in 2018 and brings 18 years of real estate investment experience to the team.  Marcus has a strong background in asset management, investment acquisitions, due diligence, and construction management - for multi-family and commercial properties.  Prior to joining ARTISAN Marcus was a Corporate Supervisor for Hy-Vee Inc., the dominant retail grocery chain through the state of Iowa. 


    Marcus is responsible for leading the asset management department where he focuses on investment financial management, and strategic planning for existing and newly acquired assets.  In addition, he maximizes asset value through creating and executing operational and capital expenditure plans.


    Marcus received his B.A. degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 2005. 

  • Michael Perry, Partner

    Michael is a co-founding Partner at ARTISAN with over 25 years of multi-family investment experience with a professional focus on asset management, corporate operations, investor relations and accounting.  Mike began his career at Laramar Group and has also worked with Concert Realty Partners, Levin Realty Advisors (now Magellan Investment Partners) and Orion Residential prior to co-founding ARTISAN.  Throughout Mike’s career, he has provided various levels of asset management to over $2.5B of real estate, encompassing more than 180 individual investments and 45,000 units.


    At ARTISAN, Mike is responsible for all company operations.  In this role he assists and directs Asset Management services as well as overseeing day-to-day company operations.  Mike is also a member of the ARTISAN’s investment committee and is integral in the onboarding of new investments. 


    Mike attended St. Norbert College and earned a BA in Business Administration.

  • Amy Clark, HR Coordinator

    Amy Clark

    Amy joined Artisan Management Group in September as the Human Resources Coordinator. She has been a human resources professional for over ten years. From recruiting to onboarding and benefits, health and safety, wellbeing, employee relations, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, continued education/training, career and succession planning, Amy helps to grow the Artisan team of professionals and makes sure each employee is getting the most out of their employment. Amy enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle, summer concerts, swimming, yoga in the park and hiking with her dog, Ranger.

  • Aubri Moore, Training & Development Coordinator

    Aubri has been in Property Management since 2007 with 16+ years of experience. She has held multiple titles within property management including Leasing Professional, Leasing Manager, Assistant Manager, Community Manager, Multi-site Community Manager, and Area Manager. Aubri has professional experience in a variety of property types including Tax Credit, Section 42, Section 8, HUD, and Conventional/Market Rate. Aubri has also participated in due diligence of new acquisitions as well as dispositions. Aubri has always utilized her skills and knowledge to empower others by educating her teammates whenever possible.

  • Chris Shipley, Marketing Coordinator

    Chris joined Artisan Management Group in February 2024 as the Marketing Coordinator.  Chris has been in the Marketing profession for 8 years previously working in IT for 20 years.  Chris began his career in Property Management in IT and Project Management work and then moved into his first marketing role building property websites, initiating a resident and prospect portal along with extensive CRM & lead tracking systems product launches.  Chris is excited to take an old-school hard work approach and to take Artisan Management's marketing department to a place where our corporate and Onsight teams can rely on the best support available to ensure their residents feel at home. Chris is an avid sports fan and content creator in his free time.

  • Devon O'Hare, Regional Manager

    Devon started in Property Management in 2014.  Devon has 9+ years of experience in Tax Credit, BOND, CDBG, HOME, HUD, and Conventional/Market Rate properties. She has worked at numerous levels in her professional career, including Leasing Agent, Assistant Manager, Property Manager, Area Manager, Regional Manager, and HUD Compliance Specialist. Throughout her professional career, Devon has participated in annual compliance reporting, compliance file audits, IFA inspections, REAC inspections, MOR auditing, due diligence of new acquisitions, large CapX projects, and renovation programs.

  • Emmy Doll, AP Associate

    Emmy started her tenure with Artisan in July of 2023 as the Community Manager for Gateway Lofts and currently has the role of our AP Associate where she plays a vital support role for Accounting and Operations.

  • Heather Lee, Regional Manager

    Heather has 14+ years of Property Management experience and has been with Artisan for 4+ years.  She has worked on properties of every level, from every class. She has experience in Tax Credit, HUD, USDA, Section 42, and Conventional/Market Rate. Heather has worked at numerous levels in her professional experience; Leasing Agent, Property Manager, Area Manager, and as a Compliance Specialist for HUD housing.

  • James Harper, Regional Maintenance Manager

    James has been in Property Management for 17 years and began career at Artisan in 2020.  He began his career in Property Management with hands-on maintenance work at all classes of properties where he gained a deep understanding of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems that are integral to multifamily buildings. As his career progressed, he transitioned into leadership roles overseeing maintenance teams and implementing cost-effective strategies to prolong the lifespan of each asset. Additionally, his experience can be characterized by a dedication to excellence, a focus on operational efficiency, and a commitment to creating safe, comfortable, and well-maintained residential communities.

  • Nicole Cameron, Regional Manager

    Nicole has been in property management for over 20 years and joined Artisan Management Group in June of 2023.  She began her career as a leasing consultant and continued her growth in management holding the titles of Assistant Property Manager, Property Manager and currently Regional Manager.

  • Tina Thigpen, Regional Manager

    Tina has been with Artisan Management group for 3 years and in the Property Management industry for 8+ years. She began her career as a Leasing Agent and has held numerous titles during this time that include Assistant Manager, Property Manager, Multi-site Manager, Area Manager and currently a Regional Manager.  Most of Tina’s background is in conventional housing but also has Section 8 Housing experience.
